I have been in cycle now for about 4 weeks after a 3 year remission. I saw my neuro and he started me on
Depakote and Verapamil BID on both. It just wasn't helping and I was not coping very well at all. I called his ofice after I had a single night with 6 hits!
All we did was play phone tag all day.
I was desperate, so on my own, I adjusted my dosage to TID on both meds. I am now 6 days pain free.
Just some slight shadows when I wake up in the morning. I'm not ready to claim victory just yet, but my fingers are crossed.
You guys really came through with some valuable info when I needed it, but the support was even more valuable.

I informed him the Monday after I upped the dosaage. He said that would have been his next step.

I'm glad that you've gotten the relief and you've informed the doctor. Please don't forget to follow up with the doctor in the office to both check you out and have your medical records updated with the current dosing on your meds.
