Title: CH Management - Article on AFP
Post by Annette on Mar 3rd, 2008, 9:53pm
Found this article on CH Management which was published in the AFP ( American Family Physician ) in 2005.

All GPs in the US would have access to this and should be reading it. It mentions Oxygen as the treatment of choice for CH and it has good discussion on other treatment options.

If your GP hasnt heard of CH or refuses to prescribe oxygen, you can recommend they read this article and hopefull that will help.

Not a bad article at all, Annette, and perhaps well worth keeping as a link for our Oz and kiwi friends. Some of the information is perhaps a little out-dated (O2 at 7Lpm) but at least it goes so far as to show it as a first line of defence.

So long as the original source is sound, and I've no doubt our American friends will tell us if it's otherwise, I reckon it's a keeper because I've never seen it's like within our own literature and advice to GPs.

More catches like that and we'll put you up for the Sheffield Shield.
