Use Jott to Keep a Medical Diary

Quote:
Web marketer and migraine sufferer Scott Clark is tracking all the daily variables—food, environment, activity, and the like—that surround his attacks with a migraine diary, and he's found text-to-speech services like Jott (original post) are the best hassle-free tool for the job. Not only will Jott (or ReQall or most similar systems) automatically record the date and time of the entries, but it's always accessible by cell phone, and one can create a dedicated "inbox" for migraines to separate the diary from productivity-related uses. For anyone looking to track a diet, health issue, or other things that happen away from the desk, it's worth looking into. Photo by robtxgal.

There are essentially two types of migraine diaries:

First is essentially a food and activity diary, I'll call the "comprehensive migraine diary" like one would keep when on a diet. Information is recorded even if no migraine attack is immenent. This is best for people who are working to establish triggers. I think Jott is the ideal solution for this type of diary. If you experience a migraine attack, you simply record the onset of that attack as an entry.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

maybe Tyler only wants to let us know about a headache diary. It does not have to be specifically for migraines. There is also one like it in OUCH.

There are several supporters here as well as sufferers of CH that also get Migraines.  We can transfer you or help you get to where you need to be from here.    Linda

No need for bad feelings.  We have always lived off the back of Migrainers with THEIR meds. for instance.  AND...like I said,  many here also suffer migraines.   I dare you,  for instance to tell Margi, or Leesa that.    Two of the greatest supporters who also have Migraines their selves.    How many here who have CH also have the dreaded "M" word?

Great idea. You cant count on being around your computer all the time to blog an attack but most people have have cell phones.

Seems it would improve the accuracy of a diary.
