I'm a basic camera hack compared to some of the guys I shoot with.       Carolyn,   I shoot with a variety of stuff. I use a 3MP Fuji 602 a LOT, a 6MP Nikon D70, a 10MP D200 and my old film cameras from the 70’s – 80’s.  Mostly I use my old film camera lenses. I don’t see a big improvement in the images I get from each camera - it’s all about the light.  Notice that I rarely shoot during the mid-day sun.     When I HAVE to shoot in harsh light, I use a lot of flash to balance the light, like this one. You can see that the sun was intense on her side away from the camera. Without some form of fill light, her side facing me was in deep shade. I have fun and that's what counts.   It's funny, but my best work (defined by most published) is from my lower level cameras. I have a billboard image up right now with 3 images on it. One is a 3MP, one is a 6MP image. You cannot tell which is which. It's all about the light......... IP Logged
