Title: I can talk now!
Post by avmoore on Apr 7th, 2008, 2:20pm
I am finally entering my 1st post.

I have been coming to the Clusterhead site for years.  I was always in such pain that typing a post was impossible for me until now.

My name is Andrea (pronounced Andre' uh)
I started suffering from Clusters in Fall of 1979.
Chronic Clusters - 29 years

I'm 43.
(Yes, I'm old but I don't look it.  My beauty secret is all the thousands of different meds I have taken for my Clusters.) ;)

I have been a patient of Dr. Joel Saper @ Michigan Head Pain & Neurological Institute since the start of my Clusters which was also the start of his practice.  He was the one to diagnose what this was for me.
I have been hospitalized twice by him.

I have had Clusters during every season.  My cycles are always at least 9 mo. at a time.  I have lived in several states and still had them.  I have had then during two pregnancies. (Ladies, I will tell you what your Dr. won't about meds.)

My attacks start randomly at night waking me from my sleep. Then increased to 8-10/attacks daily.
I have taken everything from oxygen, lithium, herbs, biofeedback, relaxation, Dr. Saper's injected protocols, and more.

Oct. 2006, God answered my prayer and sent me a miracle.  I am receiving a physical healing from my Clusters.  My healing did not happen instantly. (I wish it could have.)
I am med free for the 1st time in 29 years.
I have experienced 1 year (2007) without Clusters.
I"M FREE!!!!!!!     :D

I am writing to share my experience of Clusters with you and my journey of being healed so that you may also receive your healing.
You are in a fight,   >:(
You can be free from this torment,
You can win!  Forever!!!

The Bible says....Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-  who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.      Psalm 103:2-5

Believe you can be Healed from Clusterheadaches, because you can now talk to someone who has.

Lord I praise you for all those who will be healed from the torment of Clusterheadaches, use my hands to serve you on this website and show my love for them.  :'(  I will give you all Praise Glory and Honor.  In Jesus name I pray.

Welcome to the board, please give us a detailed explanation of what it was that worked for you. I'm fortunate in that lithium as a prevent with oxygen, cafergot, and the occasional imitrex jab as abortives,  keep me relatively stable. Many others aren't as fortunate as me and would love to hear something else they can try.

I'm hoping you don't know a guy named International Bob (or something like that. )

Hmmm.  well.....

I've been in remission for two years now.  Do I think they're gone?  <Looks around. >

I doubt it.

I think it's fine to do the happy dance--but personally, I'd keep my powder dry.

Sounds like Andrea had a religious experience. Glad it worked for her.  :)

For me, I think I used the Lord’s name in vain too many times during too many cluster attacks. I don’t believe He’s listening to me any more..  :-/

Maybe Andrea...pronounced,  Andre' uh   doesn't realize that lots of us are...um...one with the Lord so to speak and YET...we still suffer.

BobG, if God punishes you for swearing and cussing during an attack tell him to come see me.  I'll set him straight.   ;;D

so Andrea...it sure woould be nice to hear from you.  :-/

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond.
I have been managing spontaneous nosebleeds today.

Part of my journey has involved sinus surgeries and antibiotics for 14 days.

Just recovering for my latest sinus surgery which was Friday.  I had a revisioned endoscopic sinus surgery and turbinectomy done. That's reason for the nosebleeds.
I can handle these over clusters any day.

I'm one of those detailed types who has to understand why?
For me, I was determined to understand what caused my trigeminal nerve to trigger my autonomic nervous system.

No one thing was a trigger.  Whenever I would think one thing.... testing showed it to be fine.
No Allergies, Blood tests always normal, MRI normal,
no infections.........Psych test fine.....Well, You get the point!

My constent use of Verapamil was a big hidden problem
to getting my autonomic nervous undercontrol.

Shoot.....Noseblooding bad!!!!
.......Got to get ice/elevate nose.

I'll explain more later.

Hi, Andi.  I am glad you have had a year remission from ch.  I am not sure what you are trying to say.  But I am happy for your remission.  Are you trying to share what helped you?  Or are you just excited to be here? You have lost me.  I am not sure what you are trying to say.

Good luck, and I hope you are able to enjoy being free of cluster headache while dealing with your other health problems.

Ok... sounds like my reason for posting is not clear.

I am posting to share information with you, build your faith to overcome CH through the power of God's word and my personal testimony.

You may want to know of meds that I found to help.
I"ll gladly share my experience.

You may want to manage the beast w/o meds at all.
IT CAN BE DONE!!!  I have experienced a 10 level pain with shocking & muscle spasms and taken it down to level 3 pain so I could make it through my daughter's birthday party.
The beast can be controlled w/o meds.
Don't believe it can't!!!!

If you want to be radical and be free of CH pain. You can be.  If you don't believe it is possible then it will not be for u.  Your body can not produce what your mind can not comprehend.

The Spirit of the Lord still heals.

Jesus raised a Dead Girl and healed A Sick Woman based their faith to believe.  He can give permenant relief from CH.

The Bible says......Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed."          Luke 8:50

You like the sound of your own voice?

You've declared a jihad on bandwidth?

You quoted the Bible so, replying in kind

Matthew 24:11
"Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

Matthew 24:24
"For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

2 Peter 2:1
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.

My personal favourite though is

Revelation 19:20
And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.

While having strong faith in a higher power does help many people overcome horrific trials (addiction, violence, sexual abuse) and also provides a nice firm base upon which to build your life and a benchmark for your moral and value growth, this is a personal thing.

I, as a Christian, am complelled to share my faith when the Holy Spirit leads me to.  My Lord has already told me, in the Bible, that in this life we will have troubles.  I believe some people are healed today by God, however, if anyone-even a preacher-slapped me on the forehead and yelled "Be Healed!" I'm afraid I'd have to punch him out.  And if faith alone in Christ alone is enough to guarantee healing, why did St. Paul suffer throughout his life?  God does not always choose to heal our bodies.

He offers peace, acceptance, grace, mercy and love.  And those qualities, my friends, are what we should be emulating.  They are not specific to the Christian faith.

Andi, I am happy for you, that you are in remission.  I too have had remissions of 3 years.  Chronic now for over three years.  I still believe.

PFDAN y'all

“You can educate a fool, but you cannot make him think”

“If silence be good for the wise, how much better for fools”

“Don't use the conduct of a fool as a precedent”

Andrea (pronounced Andre' uh), Just a few quotes from the Talmud……
for you to think about, might help you….

Andrea, and it is not me that is the fool, or any one of us in this little world of ours

think before you hit POST….  you are posting on CH.com not on GOD.com

I looked into my Bible data base (old testament) cant find any reference to clusterheadaches
nor to god healing it…..  even if I am a believer….

Oh, and as God is: Ps 103:8  The LORD is  merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
and: De 4:31  (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;   ) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee
and Ps 41:4  LORD, be merciful unto me: heal…

and with all the superlatives, I quote, why did God inflict upon us Clusterheadaches,

Or are we all sinners, disserving hell in this world………  ?

or did I miss something?

PGR stand s for Patriot Guard Riders,  Darknight.

It was started a few years back in response to "whack jobs"  from  the Westboro Baptist Church in Whichita, Kansas.  They have a skewed sense of right and wrong and they go to the funerals of fallen soldiers in the U.S. and protest.   They yell and scream and hold placards that say things like..

"THANK GOD FOR DEAD SOLDIERS"

"THANK GOD FOR IEDS"

"GOD HATES FAGS"

So Viet Nam vets, and others who ride motorcycles decided to attend the funerals as a show of respect as well as a protective measure against the crazies.  They form a flag line around the families, blocking them from intruding, and if they get too loud..we start up the bikes drowning out their message of hate.

Here is a wikipedia link but the PGR has it's own website. .   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Guard

I belong to the PGR as does Tanner, and I can tell you it is one of the most awe-inspiring and wonderful thing  I've ever been associated with.  It brings me to tears every single time I go.

Linda

HI Linda,

Thanks for the info, weve heard of those whack jobs!!! I watched a documentary from Louis Theroux who went to see what they are all about and it was his documentary 'The Most Hated Family in America' that made more people aware of them and there skewed view on things he even showed them demonstrating at a soldiers funeral which he attended and was disturbed to be with them, he questioned them and no answer given was relevent for them to be there and disturb that families!!!

It didnt really highlight that well the people who defend the funerals like u said the PGR form a wall ive seen the funerals defended but didnt realise it was a group. Myabe his next documentary could be about the PGR now id like to see that, something good for a change rather than highlighting extremist like westboro or Nazi organisations etc!!

Good on ya for helping those who lost a loved one say there final goodbye without those nutters staining those last moments!!

Tanner/Tim, No worries, and hope we have more fun chatting in the future.

pfd to all

God does not always choose to heal our bodies.
He offers peace, acceptance, grace, mercy and love.  And those qualities, my friends, are what we should be emulating.  They are not specific to the Christian faith.

Dark, I'd hoped that I worded my post in such a way as to show that fundamental values cross the lines of religions, that they are inclusive of all.  And also to note that a lack of healing does not equal a lack of faith.  I certainly did not intend to preach and if I did, I apologize to any and all who were offended.

Peace out y'all  :D

And, if may be the case perhaps, vise versa.

I'm new here but WOW!   I believe in Jesus too and have many times asked Him to take away my pain.  I believe that He does help me get through it.  I hope your pfd continue.  For me.... it always comes back.

I can't help myself..............  You guys are crackin' me up!    It's nice to laugh.    I feel bad that it is at someone else's expense.  I can't help it though.    I think I am going to like it here................

Jeannie/ Boohoo ( maybe I should change my username)

Please.  I like Jeannie a LOT better.

No one here was making fun at anyone's faith in God.  Although when someone says you're in pain because you don't have enough faith....well, them's are fightin words.   The other reason for the laughter or jokes is that she/he had said they would be telling us some things....and then never came back to explain or tell us anything, even after they were asked several times.
