Bizarre therapy that seems to work

I know this sounds extremely stupid, but bear with me.

It's called the "brainwave generator", http://www.bwgen.com/ .

It uses binaural beats to shift your "brainwave frequencies", and has three different headache settings. I've had extremely good luck with "built-in treatment 3:

"Helps alleviating headaches with mix of low theta (5Hz) and mid-alpha (10Hz) tones, which vary periodically from one to another. For additional complexity, modulation is applied to the mid-beta tone and the background noise smoothess is varied."

It's nowhere close to the 5 minute abort time of O2, but it has severely reduced my suffering with clusters. I just wanted to share so that someone else may benefit from it as I have. The free download is certainly worth a try.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I've played around with some free binaural software that I downloaded on the net, and have a few CDs with binaural tones.  I've found that they are helpful in getting into alpha or theta brainwave states.  No idea if they help with clusters, I've never tried them when in cycle.

The trial price is right.
No idea how this'd do anything for anything. I don't have an "anything" measuring tool anyhow.

modified to remove my original response and say

Sorry Sleepy, my response was out of line.

What I was trying, in not so nice way, to say, was I don't think that machine will help to lessen a clusterheadache.
But, we are all different. If you tried it and it helped, it's a good thing.

I've accused my children of not producing brain waves from time to time.  In fact my wife accuses me of not producing brain waves on occasion.

Will this help?  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Sounds interesting. Nice that it's free. I've posted several times about using a TENS to help while in cluster cycles. It is an electrical nerve stimulation that seems to interupt pain paths, as well as possibly causing endorphins to be released. I've always wondered why we don't die of shock from the extreme pain, and/or gone into permanent endorphin euphoria with the pain we endure? I may have to play with the brain wave thing next round. Best wishes and prayers to all, Rich
