Not sure if anyone else here has had success with Relpax but it has worked for me when needed as a backup for my Imitrex. My mom was prescribed Relpax for her migraines and the 2 or 3 times that I have taken it as a last resort in situations where my "miracle drug" Imitrex was not handy, fortunately the pain ceased after 20 minutes or so. Although not as quick as Imitrex (1-2mins.) with pain relief, it may work for some of you better especially if Imitrex is ineffective? Good luck!

Yes I have had good luck with 40 mg relpax. I have noticed that it has a longer half life than imitrex but it dose'nt seem to work as fast.

when nothing else will knock it down , Relpax will, but slowly. So it's got to be a long one. I hate to waste them on one that your only gonna have for fifteen minutes, so I alway's try everything else in the arsenal first.

My doctor gave me samples of both Relpax and Imitrex and, although both are effective (God bless the folks that developed these drugs!) I would give the edge to the Relpax. In my particular case, the Imitrex relieved the pain, but I was still very sensitive to light, sounds and smells. With the Relpax, although it does take longer to work, within an hour I don't even have a shadow...the CH is completely gone.
With that said, I must emphasize that they are both WONDERFUL products...especially when I think back to the treatments available 10 years ago.
