Psilocybin as treatment?
« on: Jan 23rd, 2006, 2:12pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

Has anyone used/found relief with psilocybin?  If so, what dosage/schedule should one start out with?  Is it used to reduce overall intensity of a cluster cycle, or as an abortive for the monsters?  Or should I forget about it outright?  I'm between cluster cycles now, and want my "arsenal" in place for the next round, whenever that may be.

Thanks.

YES, if you are sure that your CH is a neurovascular type. I was a CH (chronic), not any more. Its possible that I/we will start a scientific evaluation of Psilocybin in the treatment (profilactic, not a cure) of CH episodic as well as chronic in a near future. yours sincerely BLUEBRAIN

Best decision I ever made was trying Psilocybin to treat CH.

2004 was my first time after 6 years with the beast.  It broke the cycle albeit towards the end after I'd detoxed off triptans and other meds such as pizotifen.  In 2005 I had 4 smaller and shorter headaches compared to 50 in my 2004 diary.

So that's a yes (imho) as both an abortive and preventative treatment.  Suspect if get 2006 right I might even skip the cycle.  Mix liberally with O2 and that's a pharmaceutical free solution.

good luck

LOL
Ya know, I'm sure we've all had too many of that kind.

I know I've said those exact words many times, and in every conceivable way with the accent on each word, at different times.

God damn when is the fucker going to be over
God damn when is the fucker going to be over
God damn when is the fucker going to be over
God damn when is the fucker going to be over
etc.

The answer was always the same....not soon enough.
