Using the imitrex tip, of 2-3 mg, where do you all find is the best place to inject- arm - leg- hip.,etc.

Hello,
Thigh, arm, shoulder, as long as it is subcutaneous. Under the skin and not in the muscle. Almost anywhere. The skin has areas that are not as loaded with sensory nerves...back of forearm for example. I used to alternate shoulders and thighs.
All the best

As John said.............Wherever.
I've done the thigh, belly, shoulders, biceps, tricep region, eye ball  JUST KIDDING.

Remember that it does not have to go in deep!
Just under the skin.

I prefer the thigh - simply because it's there - right before your eyes.  Easy to grab.  My next preferred spot is the stomach.  Like already said ... it doesn't need to go far below the skin.  I prefer to avoid my arms simply because it feels awkward.

Hang in there.

Just make sure you stay at least 2 inches away from the belly button, too many blood vessels there.  I alternate thighs, easier than the arms.

Karrie,

thanks for your post. Very good topic.  Smiley
I'm PF now, but my doc gave me imitrex just in case I get hit again. I had no idea what would be the best place to inject.

I hope that you'll be PF very soon and won't need imitrex.

Best wishes & PF time,
Sanna

Inside of the forearm.
With syringes.  I barely pierce the skin.
Switch to the right when I run outta room on the left.

Always in the bicep just under the skin.

I really dont give a rats ass about soreness or marking. Its a minor issue compared to relieving the attack.
