Melatonin easing nightmares
« on: Feb 14th, 2006, 4:15pm »

Since starting on 5 mg. Melatonin before bed, I have avoided attacks for at least half the night. They still come at my usual 3:30 a.m.

I was having hideous, in your face nightmares right before I woke up having an attack, and they have calmed down. I am still having stressful dreams, being lost, cant find my way home, etc. but that is better than being shot every night, burned alive, drowning, and other treats the beast cooks up for me every night.

headbanger Great news!

Why don't you increase the dose to see if you can get a couple of more hours?

I'd increase to 9 MG if I were you. That might get you that extra 2-3 hours.

Maybe you'll find your way home to!

Yip, increase your dosage but you might have more vivid dreams.  I'm exhausted every morning from all my adventures every night. Smiley  I take 9mg Melatonin p/n.

Thanks for the advice..I went up tp 7 mg of Melatonin and chased it with a Benadryl. Slept 6 hours. Six hours!
Without terror! Still had stress dreams, i.e. went to work and my desk was gone but at least I wasn't shot at!
