You would be well advised to NOT use the word "cure" around here.   Honestly.  I am telling you this for your own good.

80 mg. of Verapamil cured you huh?    Roll Eyes

Lots and lots of people here are,  or were on Verapamil.

and much more than 80mg too.  If you need to keep taking it then you are not CURED.  You are on a treatment.

Verapamil helped me to reach remission year ago, so I do know how helpful it can be. My dose was 600mg/day.

But guess what? The devil came back... Sad

I do hope that you'll be PF in the future, too. Smiley

Best wishes & PFdays,

Verap. isn't a cure all...I experienced a serious liver problem after taking verap. for a week and spent several days in the hospital.   As with most things some meds work for some and not for others.

I took 480 mgs of Verap everyday for nearly 14 years and with all the beer I drink I must be superman....LOL Grin

Having had blood work done every six months during that time, I would have known if there was a problem.

Sorry about your liver....PM me if you need some of my super liver....LOL (Now mine will shit the bed for being a smartass)

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Hey buddy, I know you been slamed pretty hard for using the word cure. Huh   I too had made the same mistake. Tongue   Take it in stride.  The same people that jumped you also came at me in the same way. I know know that can be very frustrating, Esspecially when you feel like your just trying to help. Please remember that there is many more people out there that are really looking for that help. Please stay with it, and if if you come up with any thing else that might help, dont let the few keep you from helping the many. Wink
