Any1 have luck with acupuncture or reflexology?

I am new to this whole thing....my first time, and the beast has been visiting for 36 days/nights!!  misdiagnosed as sinus infection, new doc, blood work 20 day prednisone, and CT next week of brain to rule out a mass.GREAT! just what i needed to hear! now i also have a tension headache!! night night ones are a 9 or 10, days lower..........herbal heat wraps soothe slightly...........was wondering if any1 has had acupuncture and if it is known to help..........i get reflexology alot, just had 2day, and that has helped me with other help issues.....................any info will be greatly appreciated!

HI Deb,
I have an x girl friend (since 4 days ago) who is totally into the whole herbal, yoga, natural healing thing. So I and many others on this board have tried it all. My self have spent thousands on this type of treatment. No relief. What has helped me more than any thing has been to finally be properly diagnosed, getting the proper meds from my neuro and finding this message board.
The people here can give you more information and help that you can absorb in one day.

thanx for info superdave!!! 2nd day of pred, still achy head,jaw, teeth, cheek.......... tho no 10"s!!!! feelin kinda depressed and scared,  worrying bout the brain scan.....................uggggggggg trying to stay positive!

Bless you Deb, I hope you are feeling better soon. I like you have been hurting reallly bad lately and went to check out Bob Wards healing site and have many questions about it. Is this for real. No cost etc..... Has anyone tried this?? Do they actually answer the phone? Please share any experiences, please....

Hey Deb, the brain scan is no biggie, we all get one.
The worst part about it was laying in that tube while the local natives play a drum solo for you.
The actupucture In my view is not at all a scam like many think, I feel strongly that it doe's have healing properties in many cases. Only problem is they would have to puncture in to the center of our brain and I don't think they are that accurate. 
I have had a lot of people tell me they could cure my headache, Chiropracter, Accupuncture, Herbalist, Message, Nutritionist, ect.ect. The fact is you spend a lot of money so these people can learn they no nothing about cluster headache and they can't fix you. If they were willing to do these practices for free, for their own learning it would be worth a try.
Stay cool Deb you'll be glad you had the scan

Acupuncture -> no wont help CH but may help you relax.

I tried Chiropractic and Acupuncture. Neither helped. Sorry. I have one year with daily attacks. At least two per day without exception.
The only things that have helped me are O2, Ibuprofen, and Coffee.

A very good friend was diagnosed with clusters after being thrown from a horse and in the hospital in a coma for three weeks.
After a year of the neuro and regular meds rounds, she quit the drugs, used only 02 and began acupuncture. She went weekly and after 6 months began to notice a slowdown in the number of attacks and the intensity of attacks. After 8 months, no more CH.
I don't know if the acupuncture had anything to do with or if she just cycled out of them. I've met five people so far who had clusters for a year or two and that was it. The "acupuncture" friend has been pain free for 6 years now.

I went to the chiropractor for an adjustment, and the very next day a CH Cycle started for me. I thought it was going to miss me this year.
Don't know if it had anything to do with it or not. Was at the doctors last week and he asked if i wanted another adjustment and I quickly said NO!
My doctor is also a chiropractor....
He sure likes to give me pills like candy when i ask, but no Oxygen. I told him I bought welder's oxygen and he just looks at me funny. He says i know more about Ch than he does, so he says whatever works keep doing it.
