Has anybody had either of the stimulator surgeries? If so has it helped?

I had a bi-lateral Occipital nerve stimulator implanted by MHNI in March of 04'.
Painful, uncomfortable, weird, ....and didn't help at all. Had it removed quickly.  :-/

I think to date 8 ONSI's have now been done in the UK for CH, not a one of the 8 is pain free but some improvement achieved for some. No improvement at all for others.

We still await official results and papers but even when we get them, 8 isn't a decent number to base a valid assessment on.
Our NHS system won't pay for it for most people as it is still experimental surgery, hence the very small numbers

I don't think the DBS is being done by anyone here for CH- considered too dangerous
