Title: Hey Tommy D or other busters...
Post by Redd on Sep 17th, 2007, 3:51pm
It was confirmed last week that I am indeed menapausal.  Early into it, but it's past the peri-menopausal stage.

Please indicate if I can still use the alternatives while taking

Flaxseed oil:
Vitamin E
Calcium/Magnesium/Vit D
Evening Primrose
MSM for joint health.

Thank you oh mighty Chemists of the alternative realm.

I am definately NOT an expert, but from all I've read it doesn't seem like those should interfere. I don't know for certain if some of those have been "oficially" tried or not, but on the surface, they seem ok.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but that's what I know from what I've read.
Best of luck, Red!

Adam

None of that looks like it would interfere, Pegg. I don't know anything about MSM, though.

Having a roomate who deals with natural/herbal suppliments sure can be helpful!!
I picked his brain a bit, as well as read through some of the literature he has (holy shit he has a TON), and can only say that IF it were ME wondering about those particular suppliments, I'd go ahead and use the alternative of my choice without worry.
MSMA is basically a naturally occuring sulfer. While using it, it is recommended to use Vitamin C too, to get the most benefit from of it. Everything else can be found in a good daily vitamin, and from what I've read on the busters site, not gonna be a problem.

Best of luck to ya,
Adam
