Title: Preventives and weight gain question
Post by beachmusic on Mar 15th, 2008, 7:26am
I know from personal experience that weight loss is a side effect of Topamax and feel certain the doctor will take me off of this due to the rapid weight loss I have exp. (trust me I could lose another 20, just not this way)  and due to all the other side effects for me.
As for other preventives,  what experiences have you all had regarding weight gain with Lithium and others.  I do not think, but unsure about being a canditate for Verapamil due to some heart issues.  I will be checking into that.
And holy moly my hair is falling out in globs!!!!!!! :(

Beginning to think I got cancer instead...and i just may fix a damn drink.  Can't we make a venting room so I can quit annoying all you nice folks?

Neurontin (gabapentin) can really pack pounds on.

Prednisone and depekote also are great at weight gain! Not sure about lithium although my sister gained weight but was taking it for depression.
