Got a new medication

My CH's came back 2 weeks ago after hiding for 4 years!! Went to the Doc yeasterday and after a chat he decided to prescribe Migranat. Took one last night when I felt a slight twinge. About an hour later the pain started to kick in but only seemed to get about halfway there before it subsided again. It only lasted about 10 mins - woohoo!! The one I had the night before was a whopper and lasted almost three hours. Fingers crossed that it's the pill that helped and it's not just a cruel concidence.

Do you know if it is the same as Migranal? That is what they just gave me in place of my imitrex (heart condition). I have the nasal spray, and it seams to work sometimes in 15 minutes. I hope yours works as well for you. Sounds like it does. Just glad your are getting some relief! Keep us posted

As far as I can figure out from Internet searches it seems to be the same as Cafergot (Caffeine+Ergotamine). I'll let you know tomorrow if I get a visit tonight!
