One important difference between sumatriptan (Imitrex) and zolmitriptan (Zomig) is that zolmitriptan is more soluble in fat than sumatriptan. The higher fat solubility means that injected zolmitriptan can be transported more easily through the membranes that divide the blood-vessels from the central nervous system. A greater proportion of the active chemical thereby reaches the places where it works.

Zolmitriptan is also absorbed more easily through the digestive system.

How did you find this out?
That would suggest strongly that a Zomig injectible would be Holy Grail time for speed of abortive wouldn't it?

It does seem to imply that. It also implies that Zomig tablets are more orally available and would work faster than imitrex tablets.
