Title: depacote- sansert
Post by mickey on Dec 18th, 2003, 11:43am
I know that we are not docs here but I have a question.
I have been in a cycle for about 2 months now.
My neuro had me taking depacote to try and prevent these damn things but it wasn't working.
I also had some sansert from a previous cycle so I decided to add it in addition to the depacote.
Where I was having 2 to 3 headaches a day now for 3 days I've been pain free.
Am I screwing my self up or is it ok to take these together? Figered it was worth a shot because nothing else was working.

is the sansert expired? i'll check my drug manual to see if they are contraindicated, but sansert is no longer manufactured (at least in the US anyways), so that's why i ask if it is expired!  i don't know when they stopped making it.

When in doubt call your local pharmacy and ask a technician.  They are always happy to help.

Hi Mickey,
Just tryin to keep an eye out for ya :)
If the sansert helped, can you ask your doc about methergine?  That was the drug used to replace sansert once it went out of commission.  It is also a vasoconstrictor and an ergot derivative, just like methysergide was (sansert).  Just a thought!

Sansert and Methergine ... two different drugs ... two different effects. Methergine is more like DHE than it is Sansert. If you have had good luck with Sansert, i'd try the shrooms.
