Cold Turkey and no little patches or Gum

If you smoke stop. Cold turkey! No nick at all. If you dont smoke and still have CHs. Let me know. I stopped the other day maybe 6 days ago cold turkey and feel just wonderful and no CH's at all. I feel that I have been praying for so long for these HA's to stop cus they are so dang painful but I would never listen to God and would end up smoking agin and again after praying. Oh ya if I quit smoking was the deal I made but would cheat. Guess you can't hide from God. He knows all! See's all and hears all...  . You may think i am crazy but, my head does not hurt anymore and I have had them for at leat 5 years now with no PFD's. I wanted to die. I will stay on this message board and keep up with all the news cus its helped me so much. God Bless all of you and Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving.

I'm glad you're not getting headaches and, I am reasonably confident that your assertion there's a connection between CHs and smoking, is valid. Just don't expect the CHs to go away for good.
I quit once cold turkey (no cheating) for 7 years. Still got the CHs. I did feel better though - surprise. Quit again last March. Cheat a little now and then so possibly a dozen packs since beginning of March. On the Nic gum.
Feel better than when I was smoking but still got the CHs late last month. I think the CHs are worse when I'm smoking - but not by much. So that's the connection. And possibly being an on&off smoker for 30 years has done permanent damage to my vascular system and glands responsibe for controlling neural transmitters & hormones? My neuros over the years have all maintained that smoking at least aggrevates CHs...

I've never smoked in my life  blows that one out of the water for me.. unless maybe its because I have driven others TO smoke???
I'm really pleased you are pain free and stopping smoking has to be doing you good no matter what else!
Keep strong, I know its hard
