Mia,
You don't need the skullcap -------- but maybe "D" could come up with a little spanking to celebrate.  Lips Sealed Happy days!
And many thanks for sharing and shedding light for the rest of us.
Who would have thought the answer could be as simple as a natural gift from the creator.
Don't get too worn out celebrating---we still need your bright light to lead the way.  Sophie//aka stellablue  Smiley Wink Grin

Mia, that's just the best news I've heard all year!!  Here's hoping that you can post the same thing, this time NEXT year, too!!  Thank you so much for being such a great supporter, too - I'm sure that your cheering him on and being relentless in your research for him has contributed greatly to the success you're seeing now.

Enjoy that blessed remission you two!  Smiley

Awesome. Completely awesome.

From two decades of chronic clusterhead to a whole year pain free. All due to a humble mushroom. Boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Mia, would it be possible for you to summarize in a single post just how many doses of what strength and  at what intervals D required to achieve this milestone? I'm sure the information is scattered throughout the thread but it would be handy to do a recap now.

Yeppers . . .1 year . . .all from the humble mushroom . . and yeppers . . .it boggles our (D and mine) minds!

I will be happy to recap the dosing scedule for y'all.  This is off the top of my head, but I will double check it at home . . .if I need to make corrections, I will!

Last year, April 2004, D dosed with 1.5 grams (dry) mixed into chocolate.  2 weeks later, when his h/as started ramping up again (still April 2004) he dosed again with 1.5 grams (dry)  mixed in chocolate.

He next dosed in June 2004 with .75 grams (dry) mixed in chocolate.

August 2004 he again dosed with .75 grams (dry), due to the fall being, historically, a very high activity time.

maybe a dose in here?  gotta check

December 2004 he again dosed with .75 grams (dry)

Either February or March (I'll check this one for sure *g*) we dosed again . . .I didn't have a decent scale . . .not sure of the exact dose, just that it was more than what he was used to . . or maybe just stronger? anyway, he wasn't really excited with this one  . . .

Currently, we are in a holding pattern until there are signs of REAL activity . . .unless D changes his mind and decides to get back on a schedule . . .

I would also like to say, for the record, that D does not like to dose.  He in no way wants to take larger size doses or to have a 'recreational' time out of dosing.  He always has some anxiety about dosing.  There is no way he will ever use psilocybin for anything other than his battle with the beast.   We have discussed trying LSA or Philosopher's Stones, but have went with the philosophy of, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." and the mushrooms 'ain't broke' . . .

I am pretty accurate on the dates of his doses . . .but I will double check at home.

*positive light & energy* and *MUCH LOVE* to everyone who helped us & those who supported us . . .while this isn't an easy decision to make for many, its (we believe) the right one . . .

Wishing everyone p/f days and nights
D & mia

What level and nature of dosing side effects does he experience from 0.75g dry?

I guess I should have been more clear about why I put that last little bit in there.  Since there has been some discussion about people becoming addicted and/or using for recreational purposes, I wanted to let the board know where D stood with it.  He only uses psilocybin to battle the beast, and he will continue to do so until the day we die.
Now, add in the fact that D is not (and was not) a recreational drug user, and to get him to take ANYTHING has taken a near act of congress . ..
Now . .for the answer to your question Flash *g*
D experiences minimal effects from dosing.   A bigger sense of awareness . . .things are funnier . . .colors more vivid . . .I think the anxiety of dosing has just as much effect as the actual dose (although, skullcap has worked well, and the fact that he now knows what to expect . . although, it didn't help when I whacked him with a larger dose!) . . .He doesn't give off the 'classic' version of a person on any type of drug . . .he just thinks he does . . .if that makes sense?  Personally, we (me and the fam) think he is quite a riot to be around on .75g .. . he laughs a lot is a little silly about some things . .  . . kind of like being in awe or something?
