Title: imitrex tip
Post by justin on Jan 2nd, 2005, 1:13am
fyi

been using the imitrex tip and using half at a time by taking the stat does apart and pushing it with a q-tip. it's been great. just want to let anyone know that if they are putting it off they should try it. it's really easy and not painful and the lesser amount really works. this was also helpful when i found myself in an office building rest room on the floor in pain, having realized i forgot my stat dose pen. but i had a cartridge. so i was able to get the injection out and give it to myself.
so thanks for posting it, and thanks jayne for showing me how to do it and showing the cameras in nashville as well so it can go in the documentary. you rock jayne!

happy new year everyone
j

On that topic, you do realize that you can get injectible Imitrex in vials / syringe form, right?

Good pic, how can you do that on the inside of your arm? Vials are the way to go if you can!!

Read the "Imitrex Tip" to the left.  It's pretty self-explanatory.

However, you can also get your doc to prescribe Trex in multi-dose vials - you also get syringes, and the nurse can teach you how to inject yourself.

When you use the tip on the left of the board, you need to inject yourself with the same needle more than once.  Nurses like me don't like that much.  Multi-dose vials and syringes solve the problem easily.

PM me if you need more info.

Many hugs,

Kris
