Title: Anyone use welders O2 ?
Post by freddy on Jan 31st, 2005, 12:42pm
Hello all.

I'm getting hammered near the end of my cycle.
I hope near the end.

I was going to go to a welders supply co. and get some O2. I am self employed and wondering if any of you folks have gone in to one of these places.

Any ?'s I should have going in there.

Any special info besides what I have printed from here
I should take or know.

PF WISHES TO ALL. I PRAY FOR US ALL.

Have you read the 'oxygen info' under the button on the left side of your screen?

With the welders O2 you'll need an adapter to get the correct threads to fit the mask. And you'll need a regulator that goes to 12lpm (15lpm may be even better).

And DO NOT tell them you are going to be breathing the O2. If they ask just tell them you want to learn to weld.

make sure you get a non-rebreather mask, too - you can get them online in the states.  You CAN just "huff" it from the spigot, but you'll find much quicker success through the mask.
