Title: Updated Clusterbusters website
Post by Pinkfloyd on Oct 18th, 2005, 1:40am
We have recently completed a rather extensive update of our webpage. So for those of you that haven't been there in a while, you'll find expanded info on the Mushroom FAQ, a new FAQ regarding LSA (seeds), a Links page, additional scientific information, a Headache Tracking Chart/System, and a 3 minute clip from Justin's video of Clusterchuck during a cluster attack.

Most pages have either been updated or added so for those interested, take a click tour!

Thanks to everyone that helped with this update and thanks to both Justin and Chuck for allowing us to use the video clip.

WOW!!
I just watched the video of cluster chuck and my god what a powerfull picture.

I have never met another clusterhead, I have never seen anothers attack.
Though I live through them on a regular basis Its hard to explain to others and even to ourselves the pain that we endure.
I am on my second cup of coffee in last 15 minutes just recovering from the power of the pictures
If anyone needs to explain the pain here it is.
If one can understand that this is simply a condensed version of what we experience multiple times in a day then they will start to know of what we must overcome and recover from on a daily sometimes hourly basis.

I seldom say this but.

God bless you Chuck.

MJ

wow.  That video is incredible.  Chuck, thanks so much for allowing yourself to be filmed.

Even though I've seen a lot of cluster attacks in my lifetime, I've never witnessed one on film.  When you're going through one as a supporter, you just do whatever your sufferer needs and you don't really realize what it looks like to an outsider, or to see one just "out of the blue"  - at least when your sufferer is in cycle, you're prepared and expecting the severity, kind of build up an immunity (or you put yourself into a kind of shock so you don't remember the intensity, I dunno).  I've seen the hair pulling, the rocking, the leg shaking, even the falling off the bed....but wow, I just don't have the words for how seeing it "on tv" made me feel.  Sad.  Terrified.  Angry.  Helpless.  I'm glad my speakers don't work - I don't think I could have taken hearing Chuck's pain.

THIS is why we're all here.  Damn, I hate cluster.

Awesome job, to all involved.   :'(

Kudos Bob!
Some of my friends watched that video and now they understand much much better what a CH attack looks like.
A friend of mine who I haven't seen since before I got CH, emailed me and said that he felt like a jackass for telling me:
"You can always call me, even if you have a headache..."
Needless to say he now understands why this is impossible.
Thanks Bob, Thanks Chuck!

Thanks everyone.

Thanks again to everyone involved in the update and thanks again to Justin for doing a great job editing down the video without losing it's impact and to Chuck for allowing the recording and Clusterbusters to show it.

Its an important piece for all cluster sufferers and important to clusterbusters to show that what we are researching is not an excuse to replace Excedrin Migraine with psychedelic drugs.
I think the video clip is a perfect tool for cluster sufferers to use to explain to friends, family and co-workers that no, I'm sorry but, you don't know what my "headaches" are like, should they choose to do so.

That video is immensely powerful.
I have showed it to a few of my friends who think I get migraines, oh right!
They were left speechless.

Could we make the Govt. officials who have made Mushrooms a class A drug in the UK sit down and watch the full unedited version?
Maybe they would then review their use on medical grounds.
