What should i ask for as far as prevenative medication.
I am currently using O2 for the everynight bouts.
But have been doing that since late august. I have access to it throught the fire dept. the last time I had these he put me on lithium felt like a zombie don't want to go there again. but one thing is for sure i deffinetly want to say goodbye to the beast for another five years.
I miss my tequila ;;D

Hey Smiley!
Most people start with Verapamil.
It has low side effects mixed with being pretty effective.
It's a good place to start.
My opinion is to avoid Prednisone, if possible.

Yeah, Verapamil works for lots of folks.....ask about that.

Ive been taking Verapamil and Lithium everyday for about 13/14 years....It was a godsend for all those chronic years....Ive been PF for awhile, first time in 30 years....What a ride!!....LMAO ;;D

Feel your Doc out, ask what he thinks you should try.....you can always bounce that off the folks here to see if what he recommends has worked for them.

Good luck, Dude!!

This is a great resource to know like the back of your hand...print it out and give it to the doc

http://www.brightok.net/~mnjday/chtherapy.pdf

It will present the appropriate treatments that you should seek and your doctor should know!!!

If you want an abortive with the least amount of side-effects O2 should not only be requested but demanded from your doctor!!!

http://www.maplefallswebdesign.com/misc/oxygen/oxygen.htm

I have recently been using Zyprexa as an abortive and have found it to work (for me) as fast as Imitrex and without the "hangover"

Good luck
