I mentioned this in a post last week...got no response, and i know we have folks here on depakote...my understanding is just like verapamil is better taken as the short acting kind...so is depakote...some on you on it  may want to ask your doc for Depakene.....why does this matter...who knows...i know Ueli can explain better about the verapamil working better as short acting...maybe he can explain about Depakene...I know Thomas , our Doctor on the mb, feels this works better...I am just a gunea pig...LOL...but willing to try what the experts recommend to me... Cheesy
