Justin:  i posted an article in feb about melatonin and chronic Ch.  this link may work??
http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?

If not, go back to febreuary in this heading.

Early studies my Dr. Leone in Italy showed good results, also using 9-10 mg of melatonin.

for me, melatonin seemed to shorten one cycle, and didn't change the duration of my last one, but it seemed to decrease the intensity of each attack.  That may be due to other factors, who knows!

It may seem like a high dose, but as with most meds and Ch, ya gotta hit it hard.  Consider the amounts of prednisone, verapamil and others that we CH people use.  The "regular" doses of most meds don't seem to have an effect.

Give it a try, and keep me posted.

Regards
Doug Wright
