BW, sorry to hear you're a Hawks fan. Maybe if they could bring back Hull, Espo, Secord, Savard, Chelios, and Roenick they could restore some of the glory.
I really miss those Blues/Hawks games of yesteryear.
What a great rivalry that used to be when they played in the old buildings...anything could happen AND it usually did, lol.

Just looked at mapquest and Bettendorf IA is about a 4 hr drive from here so that's definitely do-able.

I Know a guy in Davenport (1 Min. from Bettendorf) That owns a Super 8, I just called him and he said if we wanted to do something before March he would give us rooms for $39.99 two beds, Normal price is $54.99.
This is not a fancy hotel, there is no pool, restaurant or bar But it is clean, newer and in a good location just off I-80.

i Know.. LOL .. the only reason that i suggested it (AND IT ISSSSSSSSS ONLY A SUGGESTION) is because I could get hotel discounts for everyone......... that's all
we can 86 the whole Iowa thing, and just meet in - Galesburg, peoria, Rockford, sumthin

I agree Lee, that time of year the weather may be a factor...but wtf, I'll give it a shot whenever ya'll decide.
A little getaway in January might be nice after vegatating during the holidays.
Tina, Sue and I both work 9-5, Mon-Fri so a weekend would be our best chance to make it to anything.

I don't know about the hotel rooms yet in Bettendorf.....- haven't heard back ......... but as sooon as I do, I'll let ya know. But we may as well forget it - because on the weekend.. they wont give comps... so there's no point.
but that weekend sounds good to me... Way to go on pickin dates.........LOL!!! Ramon and I are good for that weekend........

No one here knows diddly squat about Peoria. I'm sure its a nice place.. but when I did the game in Chicago without knowing squat about where to go, or what to do, it was a fiasco.(to say the LEAST!!!).. so I REALLLY REALLLY dont wanna do that again.
I think that someone should HOST it in their town...... so that SOMEONE will have an idea of where to go eat.. what to do... etc, It only makes sense.
So......... since Ramon and I are here....... why not do it in Rockford?? That way - some Wisconsin Cheese heads can come too!! And it's away from Chicago's traffic.
So.. i think that it should either be in Rockford.. with Ramon and I hosting..
Or In bettendorf with River Rat hosting...........and he can get 99$$ rooms for 64$$.. .on the weekend even. And the hotel itself has everything we need to MEET AND GREET.
As far as Bettendorf........I KNOW that I cannot get free hotel rooms on a weekend...... so that's out. 
So, unless anyone else has any better ideasssss.........  .
VOTE!!!
