Great to hear your son and a friend will be coming. My 15-year-old son is coming as well. Now they'll all have somebody to "hang" with. (As you well know, they don't "play" anymore. They "hang." )

I've got them a seperate room and they will probably spend some time in the casinos, so Mikey can play. It will be good to hang a bit with them though. Because of work and such, don't get to see them as much as I would like.

They are laying people off where I work, and the schedules are changing.
IF I get to keep my job, I dont know what my schedule will be - or if they'll let me have the vacation days I asked for.
If I get layed off - no problemo - I'll have plenty of time to hang out in Iowa.
If I keep my job - I dont know what's gonna happen with my time off OR my schedule.
I have three days off a week now - I work 4 - 10 hour days.
No more four day schedules - we will all work 5 days.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I'll know on the 9th I guess...........

Don't know how that can be. Every time I go to a casino its' PACKED full of peeps giving their cash away. lol

yes - we are packed - all the time....
problem is - blagoyavich charges the casinos 70% taxes on all profits over a certain amount...(250 million a year I think) so we dont wanna make that.
(we usually make 1.3 million a day) it wont effect the other casinos in illinois, because they dont come close to that.
so - they're taking out table games and laying people off.
i dont understand how that can be legal !
there is NO business ever that gets charged 70% tax on their profits... no where.
but - that's what it is ...
so - when they take out more games..there's never gonna be an empty seat ....
oh well...........
i'll be there - for atleast one day for sure... just not sure yet

Steph made the reservations already....and I've updated the list. 
WOW....we may have as many as we did in 2004! Looks like about 50-55....counting spouses of CH'ers.
Davenport'll be rockin' in about 2 weeks!

I will personally call the 4 local news channels 4,6,8 and Fox 18 plus call the newspaper "The Quad Cities Times" and let them know about the clusterhead 4th Meet & Greet. Dont know what will come of it but you never know right ?¿?

I'm still a definate maybe at this point. Probly won't know until closer to the weekend. As slow as freight has been I don't know if I will be able to schedule it right to be in town or not. Hope so. It sure bit the big one to go through Davenport just a couple of days before and after the last two years.
Linda probably won't be able to make it with me this time, but I hope to drive over for Sat.

I received an email back today from my brother-in-law's brother who is a local radio station DJ.
Below is the note I sent to a number of our stations and they are going to run it as a Public Service Announcement.
Hi Folks,
My Sister in Law’s Brother suffers from ‘Cluster Headaches’. He is not alone. Apparently many people have this problem and some who have been diagnosed as having Migraines really have Cluster Headaches.
Each year a group gets together at the Steeplegate Inn in Davenport. Could you run the following PSA for them?
‘Do you suffer from Cluster Headaches? You’re not alone. A group of folks just like you get together each year in Davenport at the Steeplegate Inn to talk and share information. ‘Ouch’ Organization for Understanding
