Anyone in the Las Vegas area that can point me to a doctor who knows about CH? Yes, I have been diagnosed already, just need a doc who's familiar with treatment options as I have now went from periodic to chronic (previous CH lasted 1-4 weeks in durations and this spat has now been going on 1-5 a day EVERY day for 4 months) and need some SERIOUS relief...I just want to get a full nights sleep again. For some reason, demon or beast do not seem to adequately describe the Satan Spawn going on in my head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Doc. My doctor, is Joe Hardy. (He's also a State Senator) He's at the Fremont Medical Center in Henderson. He's never treated me for Clusters, I haven't had a cycle for a number of years. I have discussed them with him just to get it in my records if it is needed in the future. He's an MD, not a neurologist, but at least he knows what the words Cluster Headache mean.

Good Morning,

As stated earlier, Dr. Morton Hyson actually "knows what he's talking about." He's pretty sharp.
I am a patient of his.

1 thing you want to avoid in a neuro is a doc who asks you what you want. He should tell you what you need.

Anything I can to do help, just ask...

Good luck!

Hi Bill, thanks for the heads up on your doctor, it's always useful info and personal recommendations are the best sort.

I kind of agree and disagree with you on the neuro bit. They should know all the treatments obviously but one who is prepared to listen and discuss stuff you look up yourself is worth his weight in gold.

Nowadays my neuro doesn't tell me anything, he asks me what I want! He has a lot of respect for m (silly man) and has even asked me to talk to other patients of his to help them.

My primary requisite in a doctor is one who will listen and one who is prepared to make MY treatment a two way street  Smiley

Doc Hoof (okay you have to explain that name LOL) I'd like to welcome you and Bill to the board, I'm sorry you have to be here but now that you are please let us help you in any way we can.

Regards
Helen
