DANG!!!  Bill,  I soooooooo wish I wasn't like 2000 miles away.

So your not the TRIPTANS  anymore?  You could be responsible for a lot of coverage if you used that name.

Imagine this.  People come up to you asking what the name means.

2 to 3 hours later you have educated  a whole bunch of peeps.

NO?   O.K. I will shut up then.   ;)    maybe

Linda - While the rest of the guys in the band are top-notch supporters, I don't think the name The Triptans would draw a lot of people through the doors. That was our inside joke for the convention. Since we were missing a band member, we agreed to play under a different name.

But you can best believe that I educate people all I can.

By the way, we're working on putting together a benefit for a group that provides companion dogs to autistic children. This one is for our guitar player, who has an autistic daughter and a son who had a liver transplant at age 4. He's one of the ones I think of when I'm getting slammed, and it gives me strength.

Nani - Thank you for your kind words. We do love rockin' and rollin'. We had a photo shoot today for promo material. Once I get them, I'll post them so you can all laugh at our vanity.  [smiley=crackup.gif]

I believe Thomas and I could make that.

Now we will just have to figure out who will drive home? :-*

Gena,

I'm afraid I won't be able to give you a ride home as I will have equipment to pack up (I know, lame excuse). Maybe we could get the Badger Bus to swing through.... ;;D

It would be GREAT to see you guys there! I hope you can work it into your schedule.

Bumpin' back up to the top for all those SE Wisconsin / Northern Illinois CH'ers who might be looking for something to do this weekend.

We've added another date this weekend - Saturday October 28 at the Lake Church Inn near Belgium, WI (690 Cnty Hwy D  Lake Church, WI) from 9-1. Another Halloween costume party, so dress your best (or worst, or goofiest, or...).

Thomas and I plan on being there.

What kind of place is it?

It's an intimate Irish pub with a small hall attached to the back in a nice neighborhood. We're playing in the hall. Can't wait to see you guys!

Carol,

It was a great gig - Thomas and Gena made the trek all the way from Madison. They left after the first set because they had tickets for the Badgers/Illini game the next morning, but it sure was great to see them. Next time it'll be my turn to visit them.

Since I didn't see your post until the next day, I did the next best thing at our gig Saturday night - I dedicated a song "To my friend Carol in Canada." It was a song by one of the best bands ever from your homeland - American Woman by The Guess Who.

We're working on getting a web site up, and we've already got the URL: www.theemptysuits.com. Stay tuned.

Awww thank you - I now feel very special!

Glad to hear the gig went well.  Wonder if you can get the "boys" to come to Richmond next year.

Hugs to you and Mosaic Wench

You mean the "boys" and about "two tons of equipment?" Wonder how I would approach that? ;;D

Brew, if that isn't feasable, we'll settle for just you and an acoustic.   ;;D

Sounds like a plan, Cathi. I'm in for my time and talents (few as they may be - c'mon, I'm a bass player). I'll send you an invoice for the rest of the band, sound, lights, transportation, and room and board.

Our drummer is from L.A., so we might be able to get him to do it for nothin' if he visits family.... ;;D

Now ya did it Cathi.   As much as I loved Bills band in Milwaukee, there will be about 20 of us in San Diego by my calculations.  This motley bunch could probably only toss in about 5 each....(that's 100.00)   we MIGHT be able to afford one michrophone from WI.  by Fed-EX.  Or maybe a CD

Good try though.

Great seeing you guys again, too! Thanks for making the long trek over from Madistan. I completely understand that you had to leave early. We had a guy there taking live pics, plus there should be some video on our website soon, too.

That would be the handiwork of my bride (Mosaicwench). There ain't much that woman can't do (there's a few things she won't do, and I don't blame her!). She works on it "catch as catch can" in between caring for her father, who lives with us.

I think you're right, Woobs - she dun purty good so far.
