Title: Hiding your EMail from the public
Post by DJ on Feb 14th, 2002, 8:39am
Before I screwed everything up last night, I read a message from Mast who mentioned something about being able to hide your EMail address from the public.

I did find that feature in the forum and turned it on.

If you would like to have your EMail address hidden from the public, click on "profiles" above and scroll down to the "Preferences" section.  There will be a check box there...

Are we having fun yet??!!

Thanks Mast!

Deej

So...does that mean that *I* made you screw up the board????
ROTF!
Great job DJ!
This REALLY is a neat forum, and I've dealt with a LOT of forums  ;)

Two questions:
1. Can we hide Hub from the public?
2. Would it be possible to put a reply button after each post, instead of at the end of the string, err, thread, err, series, whatever?
3. I lied. Please hide Boob's butt.

I love the way the site looks but I can't get any of the  YABBC tags to work ... you know I'm sort of slow sometimes

I need help ???

Take a look at the test post category for more explanations (Margi did a good job of explaining it), but here's the short and sweet of it....

The typing you want to use a tag on needs to go IN BETWEEN the brackets on the tags.

In the example you used... [ font=Verdana ][ /font ]
(I will leave the brackets off so you can see what I'm talking about)

The first tag, in this case font=Veranda turns on the specific font you want to use (or whatever tag you are using)...

/font turns off whatever you started in the previous step.  Remember the brackets are needed too.

so if I put text BETWEEN turning on the font and turning it off, it will look like this! (with times new roman font)

Make any sense?

Also, you can use the "Preview" button before you make a post.  It will show you exactly what it will look like to other people so you can see if you got the result you wanted.

Hope this helps!
