Today the deli is having a sandwich designing competition.  We are creating sandwiches in four categories and the customers are coming through, tasting and voting on the creations.  Let the Games Begin!

The winning sandwich was made by Sherry and it has turkey and ranch and was on those hawaiian rolls.  I think chef Carl got his nose bent out of shape because he figured he had it all sewn upSmiley
It was fun!  Good response.  We're doing it againSmiley

oooooo - that does sound good.

One of my "good old standby" favorites is a simple turkey with lettuce, tomato and mayo (on whatever bread is at hand) - the twist is sprinkling a healthy amount of Paul Prudhomme's vegetable (cajun type) seasoning on the mayo.  Quick and easy when you don't have ingredients that (for us) would require planning ahead, lol!

We love cajun, so we have all the Prudhomme spices.  Most grocery stores carry them.  For the TASTIEST hamburgers ever, we buy lean beef and normal-fat beef, mix the two together, and mix in whatever mix of cajun spices you like best - I think he uses the equivalent of a teaspoon per pound.  We make patties out of them and then freeze them so they're ready for the grill.....
