Why don't I show up on the member map?

I've just recently discovered the member map (thanks, Nani). I'm not on it, nor is my location. Nothing in my profile is hidden as far as I know. I list my city, state and email, but I'm a non-entity on the map!
I'm distressed - please help. I'd like to contact others in my area and like them to contact me if need be.
