How long have I had clusters?  29 or so years ...  
How long have I been chronic? 9 or so years ...
How often do I get hit?  10 or more times a day ...

You would think that someone with THAT length of time in service would have a little SMARTS about making sure you have your weapons of cluster destruction on hand at all times, RIGHT?

I am house sitting at my boss's house, while he and family go on a cruise. (GREAT!!  They go on a cruise, and I get stuck here in this shack of only 7600 sq feet, with heated swimming pool, hot tub, deck, river front, two jet skis, HUGE power boat, several rather NICE autos, all at my disposal ... Life is sure tough!) Seeing I am not home, I had to bring my "E" tank (that I keep in the car) into the house to have available.

Well, I had to run to Lowes, to pick up a few things.  I was in my bathing suit.  I grabbed my wallet, threw on a shirt, and hit the road.  Did I think to grab an oxygen tank?  Or the Imitrex, that is ALWAYS in my pants (not bathing suit) pocket?  NOPE!!!

I get to checkout, and YUP!!!  The beast comes a knockin' !!!  NATURALLY!!!  Then to make matters worse, the card reader, was acting up, and tool FOREVER to get the stuff paid for!  I wanted SO BAD to just drop everything, and hit the road to get to my oxygen, BUT being the nice guy idiot that I am, the lady was working SO hard to get the machine to accept my payment, that I didn't have the heart to run out on her.

I some how made it through to completion, with my eye watering, my forehead dripping with sweat, my teeth clenched, and TRYING to have some sort of smile on my face ...

Escapade over with, right?  NO!!!!! I get back to the boss's house, and guess where my copy of his house key is?  IN MY PANTS, that are in the house!

Now I have to replace the glass on the garage door, where I smashed it in.

HOW STUPID CAN ONE PERSON BE???

Now if you were an episodic out of cycle, I could understand. But Chuck...c'mon.

I guess even chronic clusterheads are allowed to focus on something other than CH once in awhile.

man that sucks. if it makes you feel any better, heres a small list of things

i missed my grandmothers 80th birthday party, i was there if you count hanging out in the parking lot screaming.

my cousin came up from Florida last christmas that i haven't seen in 20 or so years. again i hung out in my van in the drivway screaming.

one time my friends and i went to cedar point. they all had a good time.

i remember in my early 20s i was having a great conversation with this pretty girl. she was smart, classy, and we were really hitting it off. then all the sudden "ep... i'll be right back" by the the time my head cleared up she was gone and i never saw her again. i was so pissed.

Well Chuck welcome to the human condition.  I leave the house with a little imitrex kit I put together.  Except when I'm a forgetful dummy and leave it behind once in a while.

It seems to never EVER fail that on those times I get HIT.

Sheesh!!!  Damn left cost wimminz!!!

We took Lisa out for lunch for her birthday to her favorite restaurant. She knows the menu and where to avoid the dairy. Well she decided to be different and order toast. It came complete with butter on the inside, couldn't see it. Anaphlactic reaction and all came less than 5 min. Did she have her epi pen, NO! Did I have one?? No, of course not she is now 23 and can take care of that stuff by herself, NOT!! I flew home going 80mph down Rt 50 in a beach town on a summer Sun. afternoon. Mistakes happen but I bet neither of you will be caught unprepared. It will be a birthday to remember for her, could have been her last between the dairy reaction and the car ride!
