Hi there,
I tried Homeopathy (alternative medicine). The doc. gave a couple of doses of Natrum Mur. and I think I am through with what I have been suffering for the last 20 years. You just need a good doc. and then you too could join me. All the best. Ram. :) |

;D Good one monty. Ram, if table salt works for you, then great. But, it is not a cure for CH, as you said on the other board. There is no cure. Thanks anyway. |

Be a little more specific here table Salt, or Sea Salt. Would Salt and Vineger Chips with Sour Cream work?. Or do you have to take it straight. After all its just a condiment, most of the time. [smiley=smokin.gif]

Dear All,
I appreciate your views/comments/thoughts etc..etc... If one looks at the history of evolution of man, and how mankind has progressed, it would not be surprising to note that there has always been more dissent than acceptance to anything new. So I am not all perturbed or angry or annoyed or anything else for that matter. I only see history repeating itself and some has rightly said..."what we learn from history is that we don't learn from history"..Ironical..isn't it? I worked for me, works for me and will work me..and I told you about it..take it or leave it...like they say...common sense is not common.. :) Ram |

Ram - is my description of homeopathic dilution accurate or not??
If not, please explain what a homeopathic dilution of salt involves. If my description is accurate, please explain how in Sam Hill that would help someone with cluster headaches, or what ever it is that you went through for 20 years ... I noticed that you really didn't say that you had cluster headaches, merely that you had something. |

CH makes me cry. Crying produces my tears. Tears are salty. I produce my own treatment. I still have CH, ergo... That treatment doesn't f'in work! |

It's not just the salt.
You also have to get some dihydrogen monoxide. The sodium chloride dihydrogen monoxide solution is amazing. |

Hi Ram,
I am not going to tell you all that my fellow CH’ers mentioned, I will try and stay serious, and professional and honest….. and try to avoid any use of “different” language. I am a “new” CCH’er just over 2 years and 7 month, which doesn’t qualify me as an expert, but it dose qualify me as a knowledgeable sufferer, I would dear and say (humbly) very knowledgeable sufferer…. In the “short” time I am in “harms way” with CH I have looked searched, researched about CH from alternative treatments to strict school medicine……. Since I am part of this global “Village” - just over 2 years and 6 month, I have seen persons come and go, with the questionable statement – THEY HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT, they have the answer we were all looking for…….. To dear and have such a claim – which is, by it self outrageous you would need to support it with some sort of more detailed information, rather than just “hanging” a parole…… It is simply untrustworthy…. ridicules….. and most of all insulting! We are intelligent persons, on this virtual Village, with a vast amount of accumulated know how, statements such as your statement are a direct insult to our intelligence, and to our persona, and that is sad! I would ask you to reconsider your post, I will listen, but only if there is subtends and proof to your statement……. And no hidden agenda, I dispraise persons pretending, offering a possible “relief” out of there “own experience”, and then they offer (coincidently) a link to a website that offers that product Then I will turn abusive and will join the chorus, just lauder and without choosing the words! Hi there,
Thanks for everything but I feel sad....I know and understand how pissed off you all must be, and I too might have been before I was through with it (keeping my fingers crossed now), but then I felt I need to share how I came out of it....you may or may not get the same benefit out of the medication which I take, or you might need a different "salt"..yeah its all salt at the end of the day....the only difference is some are "common" and some are "uncommon"...any chemistry kid would tell you that...but then homeopathy & Ayurveda is the remedy for all ills. Believe it or not, thats what the world's going to turn to in the coming days and I wont keep quiet about it.... :) Ram |

I, Daniel R Peterson, talked to an old homeopath today. (He works for Boiron, one of the biggest Homeopathy companies in the world, but since he is a grandfather, he has not exactly gotten discouraged with the system over the years.) He didn't think it was odd to use the energy --not substance-- of salt as a curative, or at least a relief for pain. His best selling flu remedy (millions and millions and millions sold; can that many people be dead wrong?) is made out of duck's liver. Haven't we heard of bird flu? Maybe there is a salt imbalance in (us) CH sufferers.
Just because everyone else is saying or doing something doesn't make it right on. For instance, when I first arrrived here, everyone was suggesting fancy caffeine/power drink remedies. Instead I gave up ALL forms of caffeine--and got my sleep cycles better regulated: I used to be up late in the evening and the first up in the morning to do rosaries, etc... As people know there are questions about proper rest that are involved in the CH question. And how can one get less tense while pounding down the caffeine? |
Title: Re: Try Homeopathy Post by sandie99 on Jul 14th, 2008 at 4:16am
Daniel, if you believe that homeopathy can help - then give it a go and let the rest of us know the results. Still, energy drink etc help many of us with our hits.

Homeopathic solutions are sold in Germany in drug stores-they make a lot of profit from them, which is the only reason that they are sold. Homeopathy has never been proven to be effective and is about as effective as 18th century medicine (bleeding, purging, enemas). I find it amazing that a hoax like homeopathy has lasted for over a hundred years even though it has been scientifically tested and has been shown to be a fraud. Some people are so gullible (sp?).

Pardon me for extracting these two nuggets from the dubious dredge tailings they were embedded in--but... Are you serious? What precisely (or even approximately--I ain't picky) is the "energy of salt", and how is this mystical phlogiston-like material supposed to be helpful? Can we detect the "energy of salt"? Measure it? Weigh it? See it? Detect any sort of effect it might have on the rest of the world? If not, then I submit that the "energy of salt" simply does not exist, and therefore can do nothing to correct a salt imbalance, or cure CH, or do anything else at all, for that matter. Occam's razor. I suppose that one might adopt any stray dog of a theory that comes wandering in if one were inclined to do so, but this particular mutt of a theory seems particularly unpromising. There's no "there" there. Best, George |

George,
with the energy of salt the crackpots have finally discovered something useful. Imagine, if we harness the energy of all the salt in the seven seas, there will never again be an energy crisis. [smiley=smokin.gif] |

I think therefore I am. If it works for you GREAT. I am hopeful but I believe the salt thing is in your head. It works for you ...you believe.
Do not expect other people to jump in the salt water with you. Any treatment with 100% efficacy that works for all is still to be found. Thats the facts. thebb Perhaps knowing the cause would be helpful. ::) |
