OK I just went ahead and covered all 20 questions that gave OUCH $100

I really meant to do it at the convention and forgot !

Just to elaborate on the "I carry you with me everywhere I go" Elaine got an award for Comedic Relief for the fun and joy she brings in giving us all a break from the beast and a chance to smile at life. I said that to her as I was presenting it to her (I had to stomp on Donna's foot to get to present that one I'm telling you!)

Anyway, way back before Christmas 2004 Elaine sent me a little envelope she had made, just a couple of inches square tied with a red ribbon. There was a little poem on it which said:~

This is a very special gift
That you can never see
The reason it's so special is
It's just to you from me.
Whenever you are lonely
Or feel a little blue
You only have to hold this gift
To know I think of you.
You never should unwrap it
Just leave the ribbon tied
And hold it close beside your heart
It's filled with love inside.

Well that hasn't left my side since Elaine sent it to me. It has been with me EVERYWHERE I went. Every test I went for when I was in hospital, every day I was there. It proved to me I didn't just have Elaine but all of Clusterville with me whenever I need you.

I gave a short talk about me and Jasper on Saturday afternoon and I was worried about disgracing myself by crying so I had my little envelope tucked into my clothes. I wobbled a bit but I got through to the end when I didn't think I could and it was knowing I had that extra strength to help me that got me through.

I love you to Helen. Thankyou for the kind words. That award means the world to me. The bad part was at the time you gave it to me, I couldn't think of anything funny to say through the tears. I never dreamed I would get a award. I love to make people laugh. We have enough pain in our life, laughter good for what hurts. There have been so many times I was in some kind of pain and came to the board and read your post and went away laughing at you and Paul. I can't wait to see you again. My grandson tells me all the time, Nana you are funny LOL. Your my angel and you make me laugh and smile.
