Title: Update on hubby Post by bettytinks on Jul 15th, 2008 at 2:23am
He still getting hit with the beast. I hate counting but we are almost going on 5 months. However they are lessening in intensity. Since he stared the Verapamil he seems to have better days. Of course the O2 is a must but I just want to pull my hair out when he tells me he dosn't want to do it. He is sleeping through the night and as a result I am too. I'm still praying for all of you and think about you. I will try to get on more often.

I'm sorry to hear his cycle hasn't ended. Let's hope these recent signs mean it is tapering off.
My wife sometimes will suggest I get on the O2 when she sees things starting. She's trying to help too and I love her for it. But I have to find my own way through this. Sometimes its just shadows I'm dealing with. They can be a pain the butt but don't wash away with O2 too well. I can tell if something is going to work or not. So don't get too frustrated with him. If it hurts bad enough he'll turn to what he needs. You just have to let him be the judge. In the mean time I know it hurts to watch us suffer. You naturally feel impatient for us to get on with treatment so we'll return to normal. Unfortunately sometimes it just isn't that simple. [smiley=hug.gif] to both of you. You are doing an amazing job even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes. -Dennis- |

glad you are doing a bit better Betty, but i gotta tell ya, your hubby confuses the hell outa me!!!! "Of course the O2 is a must but I just want to pull my hair out when he tells me he dosn't want to do it. " WHAT THE HELL??????? he didnt want to try certain meds because of weight gain, (which i find totally idiotic) so whats his excuse for avoiding O2???? I gotta hand it to you Betty, you MUST be heaven sent, and with your patience well,,,,, WOW. I still think HE needs to get on this site and READ READ and READ. i dont think a little slap up side his head would hurt either. Good luck and God bless, Betty

That's funny Tuck people always tell me I have the patience of a saint. I love him even in his stubborness though. He does use the O2 but in my opinion he should use it more and for a longer period of time.
Last weekend he got hit real bad and I literally had to drag the tank to the bedroom and press it to his face. After it subsided I chastized him of course and he told me he is afraid of running out of O2. ::) I havn't let him run out yet and we are on our 4th tank so *sigh* I guess it's just him being nervous. I know he can be a real pain in the rear but I think at first it was all really overwhealming for him. We have been trying to find a diagnosis for 5 years. He had them before then of course but they just told him they were migraines. So a week before he was diagnosed with CH an ENT had him in surgery for a deviated septum. He had never had surgery and was scared to death to be put under. He had to wait like 3 weeks for the surgery too so he got really nasty. I had to put him in his place then too, I told him if he didn't want the surgery fine don't have it but it was his choice and he needed to grow a pair. At the time we thought that was the source to his headaches. I agree with you, if I'm in pain do whatever you have to to make ot better. So then when the beast still came after the surgery and we went to the Neurologist and he was prescribing all these meds, I think it it was a lot for him to soak in. He's slowly comming around though to all of it. I wish he would come on here but he's not a computer person. He thinks I'm weird for chatting with people I don't know but I find it an awesome source of knowledge and support. He does listen to me read the posts from here though so it's something. Maybe one day he will feel comfortable enough. God Bless and Wishing You All Pain Free Days. Bethany |
