After reading earlier threads on here about smears, I thought it about time to get mine done again.

Thank god I did...

The results came back inconclusive, and this morning I went to the outpatients dept for further examination. I'm sure I can spare details here, but what I can say is that I had to have urgent treatment then and there to remove suspicious cells and (from what the doc says), it was a darn good thing I went when I did.

I'm currently curled up in bed feeling pretty sorry for myself, but not at the same time. Yes, the exam is horrible and scary, but the benefits outweigh it by a mile.

Hoping that this can have the same effect as the earlier threads.

Em, my best friend had to have precancer cells frozen and removed also. Thank goodness for early intervention!

So sorry you had to go through it but glad it wasn't worse. Thank you for sharing.... You may have saved your life along with someone else's.

Don't worry, I made the most of it and had OH taking good care of me all day. He even went out to get me ice-cream!!

A little gutted because I'm taking my nephew camping this weekend and now won't be able to swim, but it's a small price to pay!

That is a crappy treatment, had to have it done 3 times before the doc said that he got them all. Found them at my 6 week post partum exam. That was a crappy ass 12 weeks before it was all finished.

Take it easy. Dont push yourself, but enjoy yourself. You took care of you. That is the important part.

Good for you listening to your body. THat is the biggest thing that I wish more people did.
