Loved the article, Sandy. It was definitely worth the read. I wish everyone would read it and take it to heart.
Time for the candidates to put up or shut up. We're not just voting for a president. We are voting in him (or her), his VP and all his cabinet choices, flunkies and lackies. Name them all up front so we can see what we're getting ourselves into. It just makes too much sense, which means it won't happen any time soon. |

This is important. I agree. You have to wonder if our knowing in advance, would produce scads of third parites. Maybe.

Maybe that's not a bad thing-- at least we'll have a fighting chance if we know in time to vote for a third party... Hugs BD |

This idea is sooo stupid. Are you kidding me Lee? Why would they do this? Why would they give us this information?
1st. They would lose all political equity they have by getting fellow politicians to endorse them and work for them HOPING for an appointment. 2nd They would be open to scrutiny for each pick. If they wait until elected, they can get away with choices of suspect judgment. OK, I am kidding. I heard this idea a week ago and I hoped it would actually happen. The problem is that it isnt in their best interest do to so, even though it is best for us voters. My only concern is that the candidates would pick people likely to help them get votes rather than the best available candidates (who probably dont get chosen anyway) I miss the days in High School when Gumby got at least %10 of the vote for class President. |
