In this age of cell phone pics, it would be very unusual if this was the only picture of it turning up on the net.

I would hope that is was a doctored photo because I am pretty sure if I saw that thing in the water when I was swimming I would never ever ever go back into it again!

Sob...

It appears to be a very rare....  and very dead raccoon... All the fur has fallen off in death.  The ears and all the  muzzle tissue have fallen off the jaws.  Blow it up and
look at the canine teeth...  It's not a beak!

A 3-year old Alpha female with a litter of 4 kits...  We had two more litters of 3 kits each for a total of 10 new kits in the pack this year...

Note the effectiveness of the plastic owl in the upper left of the photo...

Take a close look at the tooth row on the "monster" and compare it to the tooth row here:

Also, there's a good view of the unfortunate beach-idler's fore paw in the photograph.  Compare it to this raccoon's fore paw:
