Title: The way NOT to bake cookies...
Post by Emily on Aug 1st, 2008 at 11:35am
is this way!

My sister decided that she and Ollie, my 3 year old nephew would make cookies for me (one of my comfort foods!), so she was pouring, Ollie was stirring and her OH was reading out the recipe.

This is out they turned out...

Her OH told her to put in 1/4 cup of flour instead of 2 1/4 cups!!!

I told her to just get them from the shop next time... But bless them for trying to make me feel better!!!

;D

edited because I'm daft...

They never made it to my house. I think they went straight in the bin.

And Chuck, we ALL know that it's ALWAYS the man's fault. At least, that's what I'm learning in the school of 'soon-to-be-married'!!!

;)

Next week I'm learning how to make him sleep in the spare room and how to spend on his credit card.   ;D

Is it any wonder WHY I am gay? ;D   ;)

With attitudes like THAT, it is a wonder that there are not MORE gay men!!!  LOL

No where in her post did she say the OH was a guy . . . . it could very well be that OH (which I read as Other Half) was a woman.

YOU of all people Chuck, should never make that assumption.  ;)

But if the cookies were ruined, it was probably a guy.  Law of averages, doncha know.

In the most successful marriages, the guy takes the blame - for everything, regardless of whether it was his fault or not.

When the GAL starts blaming the GUY, that's when problems occur. If the GUY will step up and take the blame before the blame is ascribed, everyone will be happy.

Oh poor men...

You would think that they get nothing out of it.  ;)

Shaun and the kids would have tried to eat them though.  :P

To be honest though...  I did not understand what OH meant until Pat said it. Serious blond moment there.  ;D

Emily,
it's wonderful that they tried! :)

Mind you, I do know couple people I'd never let bake anything for me - they forget to add baking powder or eggs or some other essential ingredient. ;)

BTW, not all men are useless what comes to baking - my former next door neighbour, the man I considered to be sort of grandfather to me - Risto, he was better baker than many women. He actually followed the recipes! ;D

BTW, would someone like a muffin? I made rhubarb muffins and have about 5 of them left... And yes, Timo has eaten them and is (as far as I know, he's visiting his best friend) still happily alive... ;)
