to Bayfield & Madeline Island, WI.  It's right on Lake Superior for anyone who didn't know.  Hope you like! :)

Hey, Mel!

GREAT pictures!  Looks like it was a fantastic time spent at an AWESOME place!

BUT, are you the only one that can take pictures?  I didn't see ONE that has you in it!  WTF?? LOL!!

Glad you had a good time.

Chuck

Oh Mel thank you for sharing those.  I'll bet you had a much better time here...than when there were so many people at the last outing and too many people wanting to go their own ways.

You seem to have a problem with giving that camera to Jesse don't you?  LOL

Next time we want a pic of you holding  Ava or something.   k?

What a beautiful family you have Mel!!

It looks like you all had lots of fun.  Im glad you did.  There is something about being at the lake that is so relaxing.  I love it.  My kids and I lived right by Lake Superior when we lived in Duluth MN so we spent alot of time there.

Thanks for sharing!

Tess

Beautiful, Mel.  I'm glad that area is not so distant for you, thank you for the pictures.  Although close to the Michigan border, those far reaches are a million miles from the Detroit area, I've never been near there.  Yaay for vacations!!!

In a far-flung coincidence, there is a Wisconsin border town called Niagara south of there, you mentioned not going to Niagara.  Glad the thought never occurred to pass through this other Niagara.

Not to Niagara, too far for too short a time, but up to Bayfield, WI on Lake Superior.

NIAGARA, Wis. (Map, News) - Authorities were hunted for someone wearing camouflage clothing and armed with a rifle who is suspected of shootings as many as four people in the Wisconsin-Michigan border area along the Menominee River.

Great pictures Melly.  Hard to choose a favourite from all those, but the statue is really different!

My oldest daughter (the one that just had the baby) was born at the other end of Lake Superior.  We lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario at the time.  There is a rock formation in the lake that is called The Sleeping Giant.

The kids all looked like they were having a great time.

Glad you got away for a bit - always nice to recharge the batteries now and again.

Hugs
Carol

It is - and it's really impressive to stand on the highest hills around the area and look out at it.

Thanks for showing me that - brings back memories of our time there.
