Title: Favre to the Jets

...for an undisclosed draft pick. I think Thompson, Murphy and McCarthy just wanted to get rid of what turned out to be a huge distraction. Well, they did.

I was saddened to see him retire.

Even sadder to see him come back.

He's losing class points.

Don't the Jets have a covered stadium? Favre works best in the cold.
If memory serves, he never lost a game at Green Bay played at under 35 F. Maybe he should have gone to the Mossbay Magpies. They could open up the Kingdome on Winter days. Its only 30 F rain. But its better than nothing. ;D

I'm with Bob. It's tiresome.

Tiresome hardly describes it when you're bombarded by it 24/7 in the Wisconsin media. I'll tell ya, there are a handful of Favre faithful that should immediately qualify for institutionalization.

The Packers offered him $20M to stay in Mississippi. Only an idiot would turn that down. This is now more about revenge than anything else.

I am just sick of his whinning and am glad to see him go.  As they say, "Dont let the door hit you on the way out".

I don't watch football, I don't enjoy football, and I don't follow football.  That said, the only news available these last weeks has been football/Favre related.

We watched 2 hours of his crying news conference last year when he retired. . . . . we heard ad nauseum commentary about his retirement for years before it finally happened.  And how does this end?

"I want to play again, I didn't mean what I said about retirement and if I can't play here in Green Bay I'm going to take my ball and go home. . . neener, neener, neener."

What ever happened to an adult keeping his word?  Where's the integrity, the dignity, the honesty of retiring (and staying that way) gracefully?  I, apparently, overestimate these qualities a LOT!

/my one and only Favre rant off

Oh yeah? You think the Eagles are bad? The Bills are so bad that they are playing half their games in Toronto this year.....uh...not a good sign.
