We went to a Hot Air Balloon rally today that never really materialized due to the winds created by this cold front.  Too gusty for the balloons.

We had our fleece on in AUGUST!!   COOL!  (s'posed to be in the mid-forties tonight)

It's down in the 50's at nite, 78 during the day. I shut off the A/C or a few days. It's been pretty mild this summer, we only had one heat alert day over 90, and that was last week. Got up to 96, heat index was 106. Otherwise, it's been in the 80's, mostly low to mid 80's. And now the corn is high up, it's creating humidity. It's the humidity that gets to me...

I've seen 2 summers in the last 16 years, where labor day rolls around, and you need a light jacket at night... and it stays that way.

Oh, for 70 degree temps with low humidity.  And 50 at night. Excellent sleeping weather. [smiley=sleep.gif]

Blame Algore.....The planet has a fever! .....LOL ;D

Ah hell, we're having a cold snap here too!  It barely reached 90 on Friday and it only made it to 85 yesterday!

Jimmers, my brother, I feel your pain.  Daytime here it's been struggling to make 75F and at night plunging to the low 50s.  Freeze the balls off a billiards table!

I admit that it's mid-winter but, what with our new Labor government, I really was hoping for better.

I wanted to go for a drive in the hot rod this morning. At 9am it was 97 degrees. No top, no windows, no air conditioner. DAMN! Like driving in an oven. 30 minutes later it was 101.
As I write this it is 108 outside. Just gotta love desert living.  ::)
Maybe I'll wait to cruise in the roadster when the temp drops to a cool 90....at about midnight.

Two mornings in a row- we left all the windows open and I woke shivering. Grabbed the quilt..BAD IDEA. I went right back to sleep all snuggly warm and woke late for work!

The cooler days and night air has been a sweet relief to the hot though.

Well, it's still relatively cool (broke 85 today), but it looks like we might have to build an ark.  As of this morning, we had 7.5 inches of rain in the past 48 hours and it's rained all day (or for most of it today anyway).  Think I might need to check between my toes for webbing.

Its been raining in Boston for the last six weeks, and WAY below normal temps.

Huge floods all over New England.

Send some, but not all of the rain you have been getting. After this past June, it has been a virtual drought around here and the farmers are worried about their crops.

Shit, I'm worried about the 13,000 white pine trees I planted on the farm. They started out real well and took root great because of the June rains. Since then though, we haven't had any rain to speak of!

Probably another 5K out the window :-/ We'll see.

gonna be 110 in Northern California this week-end.

Tell you what Jimmers....I'll send some of my heat if you'll send some of your cold.   We'll both be happy.

You'll have to move up here Jimmers. Lots of stuff like Shakespeare festivals and concerts have been postponed because it rains almost every day here in western, NY. Most of the people were wearing jackets or sweaters on the bus.
