It says he updated with geothermal, which is what I WISH we could afford!  Instead, we are getting an outdoor boiler on the 18th.  Should make a 500 gal. tank of gas last us for a whole year.

Hoping though to do the solar panels within the next 5 years ourselves. :)

well thats a pretty good idea. my dad uses a heat pump. he doesn't use any gas until it get below 34. i've often thought of building a wood fired boiler. those are pretty efficient as well. i live around allot of fams so i watch the tree line and i can usually get it for free. it's allot of work but it keeps me in shape from sitting in the truck all week.
