I cannot believe that after 7 (seven) years of peace the awful demon is back. And here I am again at my keyboard writing all of you other sufferers once again. I went through menopause and thought they were gone for good, but no....I guess I will be in an old folks home and still banging my head on the floor when Im 95. That is if the demon finally wins his battle and I take 50 doses of imitrex in a day and have it over with.  How sad, but I really had 7 wonderful pain free years.  How friggin depressing.

At least you had 7 PF years!!!

Thank god you had the 7 years now you need to start fighting it again and not let it win go to your doc asap and read read read alot may have changed 7 years on

I agree with Melissa and Brian; you did have 7 years without the bastard. I know it doesn't mean much while you're crawling on the floor, trying to find a way out of this hell, but you should try to bear that in mind. Just for your own sanity's sake.

In the meantime, when the Beast is still not done with you, we are here to try to take the edge of, okay?

first of all: I'm so sorry that the beast is back in your life. None of us deserves that.

But you have a strong weapon on your side: you already know that you can be PF again. You know that remission is possible! Use that to your advantage when the beast tries to get to you. You've already been PF for years, so you can be PF for years again! Concentrade on that.

Ch stink- no way around that.   The times in between episodes have a way of making you forget what the pain was like.  That's the good news.   Bad news - they usually come back.

I hate that you are in pain right now.  Hopefully your arsenol is stocked and you fighting with all that you have.

OMG, 7 PF years?  Sorry you're in pain now, but you realize that's north of 2100 days (in a row).. pain free.  I would love to be in your shoes.  I've been chronic for so long I forget that I used to be a nice person.  Now I'm a Republican.   :o

Shawn, you crack me up. Now, that was funny. And true, me too, except I'm not a republican ;).

Laura, I'm sorry the beast has found you again. Read, read, read. Start with the links over to the left, and check out the medications board, and the CH specific board for some of the latest in treatments, and such.

One thing that helps many of us is chugging down a Red Bull energy drink, or a similar brand. When you have shadows, or a hit starting, it really helps to take the edge off, or stop them. You may have some tricks up your sleeve, but that one is new.

Time to go see a neuro, too. Does oxygen work for you? Ask any questions, we are here to help!

Yep have to agree clusters suck. Like the others said you now have the tools to work for you. Don't give up. I use to be chronic and I finally went episodic. The longest I have had is 2 years between cycles. I have a motto " I HAVE CLUSTERS, THEY DON'T HAVE ME"! When your in pain its hard to think this I know.
Have you tried O2, what are you using. Find a doctor Now and go get treatment. Study the board and go ready with what you want to try. Imitrex is good. There are so many different things, find what is best for you.
