Hey all, this probably doesnt mean squat to most of you, but,, my oldest son, who is going to be a freshman this year,( God I feel old) started football practice this week. (school is still out for two more weeks). This afternoon the varsity coach called me at home and wanted to know if it was ok with me and my wife if he started working with Cam as quarterback. We said sure and acted pretty calm, but inside I was doing cartwheels!!!!! He has played peewee football the last four years and has always been a reciever on offense and corner on defense. He has been a baseball pitcher and shortstop all his life and is a real smart kid, straight A's. ( that obviously comes from mom). He is a great basketball player and highjumper and long jumper in track. Sorry if it sounds like I am bragging, uh, I guess I am, I am just SOOO freakin proud I had to let you folks know!!!!!! The only bad thing is his little brother will have some awfully big expectations heaped on him in a couple of years. Once again, sorry to brag, but, as a kid myself, i excelled in sports too, everything except football, I was too big of a wuss and just couldnt take it. I think thats why I am sooooo proud of him now. Thanks for letting my swelled head fit in the room.    Tuck

Congrats to your son Tuck!  I sorta have secret hopes that my son enjoys football enough to play when he gets older and QB's.  BUT, he's only 5 and will begin Kindergarten in 4 weeks, LMAO!

My son also played every sport......baseball, hockey, track, football, basketball and golf (the most boring to watch).  Enjoy these years, they go by so fast!!

Turns out they just suck our energy and intelligence from us, then go on their merry way like nothing happened. We're left sitting in a corner contemplating our navels while drooling.
