Looks like old-home week to me.  Very familiar-looking landscape.  I grew up near North Liberty, which isn't all that far away from you folks.  Haven't lived there for a long time, though...

Carolyn.....I think it is a Sandhill Crane.

The camera is a Nikon D40.  It must be idiot-proof.....I can use it   :)

I'm really enjoying your 'prize winning' picture.....have it on my office wall.
