A good time to advise our newer members about perennial trolls. Ali is definitely our more persistent troll, he pops his head in here a couple times a year spreading his brand of crap. When you see "don't feed the troll" signs you're being warned of an "internet troll". In my humble opnion the most despicable people on the planet. They come to boards like ours and try to stir up controversy, spread BS and try to raise hate and discontent.  When I first arrived on the board the "Troll warnings " made no sense to me!!!!

Naw.  Ali's a different one.  

As far as perennial trolls on CH.com go, there's Ali, CHTom (who was Sandra Von der Laage last time)--and a couple three others who haven't been around for a bit.  "Bert" and "Cardogman" and "Superirish".  Not that I miss them.  

You can always tell when Ali shows up, because he's got a link to his "migraine surgery" site.  DJ usually deletes his newly-minted persona within a day or so.  

Last few times, he seems to be distressed over somebody or other thieving his "surgical" techniques.  

Whatever.   ::)

And as for spotting them, I suck at it and have been suckered into conversations a time or two. Jonny, Brew, Linda, and several other "troll Hunters" tend to spot and mark them very quickly!!!

I dont ever mind getting suckered into a conversation or end up trying to help someone who is a fake.  I figure maybe someone out there reads it and it helps them.  

It's the quick fix, cures, surgery trolls that I hate.  Then the antagonistic ones.  They are easy to spot especially by people who have been here a while.

Remember folks... trolls need love too.... just not from us.

  I've always thought that Ali and his Self-Trepanation videos and self rightious BS was one of the better stand up comedy acts we get from our Trolls. CHTom et al are usually pretty boring in a hurry.
  Ali is sorta like the Three Stooges. Maybe its my sick sense of humor. Anybody want to buy an electric drill, cheap?

Here's the real funny part.  The last video Ali lists is the doctor who stole his proceedure.  It's Dr. Shevel, who some of you will remember as Danny's dad who runs the clinic in So. Africa.  Danny was here digging up business for his dad who could cure clusters with cutting some muscles or a mouthpiece of some sort.

Since I found the board in 2001 it's cost me about 700US$ and counting. I've got fog all to show for my ad spend other than a cracked ol OUCH mug and some interesting enemies. When do I get a return on my investment?

dannyboy is the troll with the longest record here. Although, I must admit, he has cut back his trolling quite a bit and now he only makes some silly remarks occasionally.

Danny's not a bad guy.  He does PR work for his Dad's clinic, The Headache Clinic, in Johanasberg, South Africa.  I think he purchased an ad for the clinic (OUCH newsletter or convention?) but never got any takers.
