Title: Worried?? Post by Kimmie on Aug 18th, 2008 at 4:35pm
Fall's about here. Anyone getting a little nervous that the Beast is on its way???? I watch the Barometer like a hawk. I'm getting a little "skeert".

Kimmie,
I do understand your fear. Just don't let it consume you. Be prepared! It's your best weapon! BTW, I had to learn this all here! Fear of the beast was ruling me! Hang Tough! Jeannie |

What Jeannie said, be scared enough of it that you always have a full e-tank and a several week supply of meds on hand so you're never caught unprepared. Other then that "live your life beyween the hits!"
Sending extended remission vibes your way! ;) Guiseppi |

Yeah, just have your ducks in a row and forget the beast even exists, until you need to.
Then hit him with all the ducks - QUACK! |

It can not be said enough.
1. Always fill your meds as often as insurance will pay. 2. Travel with meds/abortives even when out of cycle. 3. Do not let the beast control you when out of cycle, he has enough control when you are in cycle. When out enjoy your PF moments and although you should stay prepared, always assume tomorrow will be pain free too. 4. Find the 5th dentist from the old trident commercials who didn't recommend sugarless gum for his patients who chew gum and find out why he didn't. That answer may give you the key to dealing with CH 5. Only listen to 80% of what I say. |

Bob is right. Also stress and anxiety are CH-triggers by themselves. By really worrying about it, you might actually be playing right in the beast's hands.

No, I'm not nervous. If it comes it comes. I get more mad than worried anyways, because it interrupts my kids and husbands lives, but they love me so they just deal with it the best they can, God bless them.

The weather is already changing here in Texas. I've been in the cycle for two weeks now, which is really early for me. It's not usually until late September. Looks like it's going to be an early Fall. I did okay last year in this apt, hopefully I can thru this year also. Yesterday, seemed to be the peak, I got hit three times, everytime I tried to lay down. That's usually my signal that it's just about over. Right now, waiting for the winds to shift away from the East/Northeast.

I have absolutely no pattern to when my cycles begin. I don't think it is seasonal like most. My cycles have come in July, September, January, April, July, October, etc.. With 1-2.5 years of PF. I have lived in the following places and they still have come, Petersbug Alaska, Bellingham Washington, Friday Harbor Washington.
I can't pinpoint any time that I could be cycling. I planned my wedding around thinking when they might come. I was off, but still had a pf wedding from clusters. Can't say pf from much else :D angela |
